<Yesterday    Tomorrow>

Today God says:
 "Do not let evil overcome you: instead, overcome evil with good"

He promises me:
  "Be not overcome with evil, but overcome evil with good". (Rom. 12:21)

My response to the word:
  God gives me the power to overcome evil with good so that I can obey His admonition: "Therefore if your enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirsts, give him drink; for in so doing you will heap coals of fire on his head". Throughout this day I want to respond to my tormentors, accusers, persecutors, and enemies in the way Christ teaches - loving them, blessing them, doing good to them and praying for them.

My prayer:
  Lord, thank you for showing me how I should respond when others come against me in any form. Empower me to respond with goodness when others are evil toward me.

Today's scriptures:
 "But I tell you, 'Love your enemies, and pray for those who persecute you". (Matt. 5:44 GW) "If your enemy is hungry, feed him. If he is thirsty, give him a drink. If you do this, you will make him feel guilty and ashamed". (Rom. 12:20 GW) "Be kind to each other, sympathetic, forgiving each other as God has forgiven you through Christ". (Eph. 4:32 GW)

Quote for today:
What you do not value and protect you will probably lose. (Bob Harrison)
