Today God says:
"I hear your cries"
He promises me:
"In my distress I called upon the Lord, and cried to my God: and He heard my voice and my cry entered His ears". (2 Sam. 22:7)
My response to the word:
In times of trouble and difficulty, I will cry to the Lord, remembering that He is only a prayer away. I know He hears my cries to Him. The Prophet Jeremiah wrote, "Call unto me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you know not". I believe God.
My prayer:
Lord, thank you for always being there to hear my cries and answer my prayers. I love you with all my heart.
Today's scriptures:
"Our God, listen to my prayer and request. For your own sake, Lord, look favourably on your holy place, which is lying in ruins. Open your ears and listen, my God. We are not requesting this from you because we are righteous, but because you are very compassionate. Listen to us, Lord. Forgive us, Lord. Pay attention and act. Don't delay. Do this for your sake, my God, because your city and your people are called by your name". (Dan. 9:17-19 GW) "We know that He listens to our requests". (1 John 5:15 GW)
Quote for today:
Before you go to bed, turn your worries over to God. He'll be up all night. (Anon)
