Today God says:
"My name is a strong tower in which you can find refuge"
He promises me:
"The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous run into it and are safe". (Prov. 18:10)
My response to the word:
The wonderful names of the Lord God tell me who He really is in me. He is Jehovah-Jireh, my Provider. He is Jehovah-Shammah, the God Who is always there. He is Jehovah-Roeh, my shepherd. He is Yahweh, the God Who never changes. He is Adonai, the eternal Lord. He is Jehovah-Repheka, my Healer, and Jehovah-Elyon, the Lord God most high, and Jehovah-Tsidkenu, the Righteous Lord. Knowing these names of my wonderful Lord reveals Who He is to me.
My prayer:
Lord God, thank you for your names which reveal your unchanging character to me. In your names I find great refuge.
Today's scriptures:
"Then whoever calls on the name of the Lord will be saved". (Acts 2:21 GW) "He is far above all rulers, authorities, powers, lords, and all other names that can be named, not only in this present world but also in the world to come". (Eph. 1:21 GW) "God has given Him exceptional honour - the name honoured above all other names - so that at the name of Jesus everyone in heaven, on earth, and in the world below will kneel and confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father". (Phil. 2:9-11 GW)
Quote for today:
They saw their problems as possibilities, and their setbacks as springboards, and their stumbling blocks as stepping stones. (Oral Roberts)
On this day:
